Kenya

Kenya is one of the world's greatest safari destinations! Its parks, reserves and conservation areas are home to some of the largest and most diverse wildlife populations in the world. As you travel through vast landscapes bathed in soft morning light, your African dreams unfold before your eyes.

Why travel to Kenya?

A trip to Kenya includes so many adventurous highlights: the thrill of the African bush while observing the variety of wildlife in popular reserves such as the Masai Mara, Amboseli and Laikipia. And the picturesque Indian Ocean coastline in Kenya is also home to such places worth seeing. After you've had your fill of safaris and breathtaking panoramas, you can wash off the dust in the crystal clear waters here. Visit the grassy plains and swamps of Amboseli National Park to see an iconic scene - elephants silhouetted against the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro on the border with Tanzania.

Food

Kenya's cuisine is characterized by a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and by the Kenyans' preference for all kinds of meat. In the coastal regions you can look forward to a wide selection of fresh fish and seafood of excellent quality.

Culture

Religion is also an important part of social life in Kenya. The majority of the population is of Christian faith. Islam and nature religions also play an important role. Music, dance and festivals are an integral part of Kenya's social and cultural life.

People

The multi-ethnic country of Kenya has just over 54 million inhabitants and is home to more than 40 different ethnic groups. The majority of them are Africans, but there are also many ethnic groups, such as the Masai, who live in the south of the country on the border with Tanzania and are known beyond the country's borders because of their semi-nomadic way of life.

Nature

The country in the east of Africa is known for its large number of national parks. The oldest of them are over 100 years old. Today, the country on the Indian Ocean counts 22 national parks and 32 nature reserves. Together, parks and reserves occupy nearly 7.5 % of the country's land area. The diversity that Kenya offers you with its natural and animal world is absolutely unique.
