It has been an important wine-growing centre in the region for thousands of years, with authentic grape varieties growing in fertile soil. The suspension bridge in Chndsoresk/Khndzoresk
The bridge of Khndzoresk is one of the most interesting attractions of Syunik province. The 160-meter-long and 14-ton bridge connects the two banks of the village of the same name, the so-called Old and New Khndzoresk. Old Khndzoresk is famous as a cave settlement, as the village is located on both slopes of the mountain and the inhabitants used natural and artificial caves on these slopes as dwellings. Until the middle of the 20th century this area was even inhabited.
Jermuk Waterfall
The waterfall is located in the lap of the forest mountains, 2080m above sea level. It is located in the southeast of the Republic of Armenia in the Vayots Dzor region (in the Vayots Dzor province of the historical Syunik region). The waterfall, 72 m high, flows into the Arpa River. Another name of Jermuk waterfall is " mermaid hair", as it reminds of the long strands of a woman's hair.
