Weather in Armenia: packing list for every season
The climate in Armenia is mostly mild, yet diverse. On the coast and in the western plains it is relatively rainy. However, in the central and eastern inland areas it is more continental and dry.
Spring weather in Armenia (March to May)
The climate in spring in Yerevan
In Yerevan, the average temperature rises to 13 °C in March and then to a warm 25 °C in May.
The climate in spring in Kapan in the south
In March, the temperature reaches 14 °C during the day but also drops below freezing at night to an average of -3 °C. April in Kapan is similar with 16 °C during the day and 1 °C at night. Then in May the thermometer reaches a pleasant 21 °C during the day, but after sunset it can still cool down to 8 °C.

Summer weather in Armenia (June to August)
The climate in summer in Yerevan
In June the thermometer cracks the 30 °C mark. The warmest month in the capital is July with 35 °C. August in Yerevan is also a hot month with 34 °C.
The climate in summer in Kapan in the south
In summer, temperatures in Kapan reach between 25 °C and 29 °C. However, at night it still cools down to 11 °C to 14 °C.

The climate in autumn in Yerevan
September also reaches a summery 30 °C. In October, a pleasant 22 °C awaits you. In November it is a little fresher with temperatures varying from 3 °C to 13 °C.

In Kapan, the thermometer still reaches a pleasant 24 °C. In October, the average temperature in Kapan is 16 °C during the day, but already a cool 3 °C at night. November in Kapan is already very cold with -6 °C at night, but still pleasant during the day with an average of 13 °C.

Winter weather in Armenia (December to February)
The climate in winter in Yerevan
Between December and February, the temperature in the capital varies between -3 °C and 5 °C. In February, however, there are often warmer days with 13-18 °C.
The climate in winter in Kapan in the south
Winter in Kapan is cool with an average of 5 °C to 9 °C during the day. However, it gets really cold in the south of Armenia at night with an average of -10 °C to -13 °C.

Recommended vaccinations
There are no compulsory vaccinations for direct entry from Germany. For trips of less than four weeks, you should have a full vaccination against poliomyelitis (polio).
Be sure to get your standard immunizations according to the Vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute are up to date.
Conclusion
Basically, less is more. The important documents such as passport and visa may not be missing of course. On a round trip with many stops it is simply easier to travel with light luggage. In addition, with a light suitcase on the outbound flight, there is more space for travel souvenirs during the trip.
