Our Mission:

Make tourism authentic, unique and sustainable.

Make the world a better place – by traveling with us

We strongly believe mass tourism has exceeded its limits. We want to bring back tourism to what it originally was intended to be: Immersing into local life, exploring new cultures, meeting different people, discovering local food and broadening our horizon.

By pairing the latest technologies, with social and environmental impact and our guests’ best interest at heart, TripLegend builds the millennial tourism solution of the future.

1 Guest = 1 Tree Planted

We at TripLegend care deeply about our planet and giving back to nature and society is an integral part of our company culture. That’s why we are honored to share that we’re partnering with One Tree Planted.

One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees to restore nature and biodiversity. Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and wellbeing, and create jobs for social impact.

For every individual guest joining us on our adventures, TripLegend will plant 1 tree in the forests of the Albertine Rift in Uganda. The territory is not only home to the endangered chimpanzees – our closest wildlife relatives – but also considered as one of the world’s most valuable ecosystems. Our friends at One Tree Planted are advocating the planting of millions of trees to preserve this endangered habitat. We as TripLegend want to support them and you don’t have to do much to help us, except being our guest!

100% Climate Neutral Trips

At TripLegend, we want to combine extraordinary local experiences with a sustainable way of traveling. Therefore, to be completely climate-neutral, we collaborate with Climate Partner, which allows us to offset our emissions. We calculate the emissions from each trip and compensate them in our rainforest project in the Brazilian Amazonas.

Every trip you take with us is 100% carbon neutral, including your flights, that you book yourself. We want to make sure everything is offset. Therefore we take responsibility for it.

Our friends at Climate Partner are fighting against global warming by concretely offsetting emissions in recognized carbon offsetting projects. With this collaboration, we can do our part in reducing CO2 emissions. Our project in the Amazon rainforest keeps the land safe from deforestation: Here you can learn more

Local Impact Score

We at TripLegend strongly believe that for tourism to have a positive impact, it must benefit local people and communities. Therefore, we make sure that we collaborate with local businesses, services, social projects, and guides to create our tours.

This enables us to offer you a truly local and immersive experience by doing good at the same time. With our TripLegend Local Impact Score, you see exactly what we mean when we say we are positively impacting lives through travel.

Local Legends

We love to keep things local and authentic on our adventures. Working with small, locally owned businesses rather than big international conglomerates helps us to provide you with a truly immersive experience.

We strongly believe that your travel money should stay in the local host countries where we are visiting as guests. Supporting local small businesses as well as social and environmental projects offers people a better quality of life, strengthens communities and makes sure that we can preserve these beautiful places in the future.

Elephant with Baby Wildlife

Protect Wildlife's Wild Life

Travelling with TripLegend means that you support the protection of wildlife. As the name “wildlife” indicates, wild animals cannot be “controlled” without cruel taming practices. That is the reason why you won’t ever find things like elephant riding or photos with baby tigers on our trips. We also strongly recommend that you do not try these activities yourself.

We believe that taking pictures or just looking at wild animals in their natural habitat while respecting their space is how we all can enjoy the stunning wildlife most responsibly.

Preventing Plastic Pollution

Plastic pollution is a global problem, even more in off-the-beaten-path locations where no proper recycling and waste management is in place.

Thus, we continuously train our staff and partners on how to reduce and even to eliminate single-use plastic. Our tour guides will provide you with country-specific advice on how you can help reduce plastics

How you can help: We encourage you to bring a reusable bottle as well as reusable cutlery, never leave trash outdoors and do small things like avoiding plastic straws.
