The park also has an impressive variety of forest types, from mangroves to kerangas (heath forest), tropical swamp vegetation and the park's spectacular coastline is dotted with small coves, caves and beaches. We spend the day exploring the park's many hiking trails with our guide and looking for wildlife. After dinner in the park restaurant, an exciting night hike with flashlights is also on the program.

Your highlight today: Enjoy the heavenly tranquillity and your beautiful surroundings on a kayak tour on the Semadang
Today is another day dedicated to Borneo's unique nature. The day begins with the "Semadang Discovery Kayaking" tour, on which we can experience Borneo from a completely new perspective - from a kayak on the picturesque Semadang River. We immerse ourselves in the breathtaking landscape and enjoy the tranquillity of the rainforest. No stress, no hustle and bustle - just us and the untouched nature.
After this relaxing morning on the water, we head to the Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Here you have the unique opportunity to observe semi-wild orangutans that have been rescued from captivity and now live in the surrounding forest reserve. As these are animals that have been released into the wild, sightings are unfortunately not guaranteed. Nevertheless, a highlight of this excursion could be the sight of a mother orangutan with her little baby - a heart-warming experience that will live long in the memory.

Your highlight today: Explore the jungle on a night hike
Today we are embarking on a very special adventure. Over the next 3 days, we will learn everything we need to know to survive in the jungle at a Rainforest Survival Camp.
In the morning we drive to Kota Belud. There we will be given a brief introduction to village life and the exciting activities that await us. The subsequent hike to the base camp takes about 2 hours and offers the opportunity to learn survival techniques along the way, such as setting animal traps and identifying edible and medicinal plants.
After a refreshing lunch break at the MSC, we continue our hike to learn even more about survival in the jungle. Back at the camp, you have the opportunity to refresh yourself at the nearby river or take a refreshing shower.
In the evening, we also go on a night hike to observe nocturnal animals and then end the day together around the campfire.

After lunch, which will give us new energy for the rest of the day and a short break, we start our hike out of the camp area and back to the Kiao village. On the way, we marvel at the breathtaking scenery around us as we hike through the lush rainforest. But the day is not over yet! We set off on a nocturnal hike to discover nocturnal animals. The area is home to proboscis monkeys, the Borneo pygmy elephants, many different bird species, crocodiles and, with a bit of luck, we will also see orangutans here.
After returning to the lodge, a relaxed breakfast awaits us and we have free time to explore the area or relax on the sun deck and enjoy the river landscape.
In the afternoon, another boat safari is on our program. There is also the option of a hike.

Before we head back home today, we marvel once again at Borneo's unique wildlife. First, we visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center in the morning. We then take a walk through the tropical lowland rainforest of Borneo.
We then continue our tour at the Sun Bear Conservation Center. The facility looks after sun bears that have been released from captivity and prepares them for release into the wild.
Then, unfortunately, our adventure really comes to an end and we make our way to the airport. Enjoy the last moments on this wonderful island on the way there. Unfortunately, it's now time to say goodbye to your new friends and take a lifetime of memories with you! On the way back, dream about the great time you had and look back on your trip.
