Norway is the perfect destination for nature lovers and adventurers. On some of the most beautiful roads in the world, such as the famous Atlantic Road and the Trollstigen, you can discover the country's impressive nature. On your vacation in Norway, you have the opportunity to enjoy not only the landscapes, but also the pure air and drinking water straight from the mountains.

Food

Norwegian cuisine is characterized by traditional home cooking from fishermen and farmers. Fish, potatoes and dairy products are common ingredients, as are meats such as lamb, goat and game. Breakfast is very hearty, whereas lunch is more of a cold meal. Dinner is served between 5 and 6 pm and consists of a hot main course. Later, around 9 p.m., a small snack is sometimes served.

Culture

The culture is characterized by Norse mythology with old stories, legends and sagas of gods such as Odin and Thor. But art and literature are also firmly anchored in Norwegian culture, with Edvard Munch being a very well-known artist. In music, there is a traditional fiddle, the Hardangerfiedel, as well as folk dances such as the "Bunad".

People

People in Norway are very close to nature, which is why outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing and fishing play a major role. Due to their respect for nature, they are also very environmentally conscious and therefore maintain a sustainable lifestyle. The locals are known for their friendliness and hospitality and will welcome you with an open and warm atmosphere during your visit.

Nature

Nature in Norway is as diverse as it is impressive. Deep fjords stretch inland along the coast and are surrounded by high mountains. The Jotunheimen mountain range offers spectacular views of lakes and forests. Norway's nature is also characterized by waterfalls and the largest glacier on the European mainland. In the northern regions you can experience the midnight sun in summer and in winter you have the opportunity to admire the unique natural spectacle of the Northern Lights.
