Your Colombia Guides

Hello, I am Tomas. I have been working as a tour guide in South America for many years. I started in 1993 in Venezuela. There I organized tours for a well known agency at that time. I have guided many great tours, also over several days and weeks in the Orinoco Delta Amazon and in the indigenous communities in the rainforest. I am fascinated by the biodiversity, wildlife and people of South America. Now I live in Colombia and look forward to long bike rides outside the city. I would love to show you the great gastronomy, history and culture of Colombia.

I have been living and working in Suesca, Colombia since 2001. I would describe myself as a tireless traveler. In 1998 and 1999 I traveled South America by bicycle. I cycled more than 12,000 km through mountains, jungles, deserts and plains. Thereby I was able to discover the diversity of landscapes, but also of cultures and customs. Mountaineering has taken me not only to Europe many times, but also to Nepal and Pakistan to climb some of the highest peaks in the world. In Suesca, in association with the first mountain guides of the country, I founded the ACGME (Colombian Mountain Guides Association) and taught hundreds of guests how to climb in the sandstone. Since 2016, I have been working as a guide throughout Colombia. With passion and joy I accompany you in the heat from the jungle and the cold from the high Paramo. With calmness and great experience I fulfill the different wishes and expectations of my guests so that they can take home the best memories of Colombia.
