Your highlight today: Get to know the diverse Amman

After a fortifying breakfast we head to Petra, to the Petra Charity Center. In the afternoon we go for a walk in the oldest streets of Jordan, known as the Heritage Town of Amman. Here the old houses have been converted into restaurants and cafes.
After this street food experience, we will end our walk in a café where we can enjoy tea or coffee and mingle with Jordanians to experience the real life of the locals.

At the end of the day we discover the old town of Amman in the city center and conclude the day with a delicious wine tasting at Abdali Boulevard. In the evening we continue to Ajloun to spend the night there.

Ajloun Forest Reserve

Your highlights today: Admire Petra by night and learn the Arabic script

Jordan is known for its desert landscape, but today we get to know the full diversity of the country: With a little luck, the day will start with the first highlight when we wake up and we will have the chance to see deer in the Ajloun Forest Reserve early in the morning. After our breakfast, we will head out for a visit to the Biscuit House, which is currently run by women from the community as part of a new model for community engagement. Afterwards, we will still explore the beauty of the Arabic language and script together at the House of Calligraphy. Here we will learn to put our first Arabic characters to paper ourselves before enjoying time together over home-cooked food or a BBQ at noon.

Tonight, a breathtaking experience is on the agenda: we will see one of the new seven wonders of the world with our own eyes. Petra, with its monumental rock facade, will shine in the light of 1,800 candles this night. As we do so, we will walk along a candlelit path through the Siq (the gorge that is the entrance to Petra) to the Khazneh (the facade cut into the rocks) and enjoy the haunting music of the Bedouins in the Treasury.

Your highlight today: Marvel at the rock tombs of Petra

What we were allowed to view yesterday by candlelight, we do not miss in the daylight: We enter the city of Petra through a 1 km long narrow gorge, flanked on both sides by 80 m high cliffs. Here we can admire the dazzling colors and rough formations of the rocks. The site is immense and includes hundreds of artfully carved rock tombs, a treasury, Roman style theaters, temples, sacrificial altars and colonnaded streets. Look forward to a unique experience and join us for a cup of tea across from the massive Nabataean treasury.

Your highlights today: Drive by jeep through Wadi Rum and experience a real Bedouin feast

After fortifying ourselves at the hotel, we will embark on a jeep ride across the Jordanian desert! During the tour we will discover many exciting artifacts and natural phenomena: The Nabataean Temple, Lawrence Spring, Khazali Dune, Khazali Canyon, Little Rock Bridge, Um Frouth Rock Bridge and Lawrence's house.

In the evening we enjoy the hospitality of the Bedouins and take part in the Zarb. Zarb is an exciting experience in itself, where Bedouins cook lamb, chicken and vegetables with herbs in a large underground pit with hot coals under the desert sand. When the meat is tender and has a hint of smoky flavor, the large pot is dug out of the hot sand and we can enjoy one of Jordan's greatest edible treasures under the beautiful starry sky of Wadi Rum.

Beyond Camp

Your highlights today: Float weightlessly in the dead sea and optionally enjoy the view from the hot air balloon

Even before the first rays of the day appear, you have the opportunity to take to the air on a unique sunrise balloon ride. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the majestic mountains in Wadi Rum. It is best to plan about 2-3 hours for this unique adventure. You can easily add this experience to your booking. Afterwards, we will explore the Dana Nature Reserve, whose diverse landscapes feature over 600 plant species, 37 species of mammals and 190 bird species.

In the afternoon we enjoy our remaining day at the Dead Sea. No body of water in the world lies deeper than this one, and the high salt content of the water makes you float through the warm water as if weightless, a phenomenon you can only experience in a few places on earth. Rubber shoes help so that we do not cut ourselves on the many salt crystals at the bottom and on the shore.

Mujib Biosphere Reserve

Your highlight today: Embark on an adventurous hike through Wadi Mujib

After a hearty breakfast, we set out today for our next adventure. Our hike starts near the Mujib Bridge, where we have to gather all our courage to walk across a cantilevered footbridge. We follow the course of the river and walk in a breathtaking scenery between the huge towering sandstone cliffs until we finally arrive at the big waterfall. Depending on the season and weather, the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming. This is an ideal way to wade slowly and enjoy the cool water and shade, especially in the summer heat.

We spend the evening with some free time and can explore the exciting area on our own.

And already the adventure comes to an end. The last few days have been a wonderful experience, filled with great nature, many unique impressions and new friends. Enjoy a last breakfast with your new friends, after which it's off to the airport so you can soon embark on your next adventure. The Jordan round trip is over today, but maybe we will see each other again soon? We are looking forward to seeing you.
