When you arrive at the airport, our English-speaking guide will be waiting for you. Today you will finally meet your fellow travelers and start this exciting evening tour together, which Lizzy has tested and perfected for you. Get ready for an adventure that you will never forget! On our way to our first accommodation, we will make a stopover in the town of Levi to stock up on warm clothing for our winter adventure and do some shopping together for the next few days. After a short drive through the snow-covered landscape, we will reach our accommodation.

Your highlight today: Hike through nature with snowshoes
After a breakfast prepared together from our purchases, we strap snowshoes on our feet for the first time and set off on a tour through the snow-covered landscape. Over frozen lakes and scenic hills, past snow-covered trees, we make our way to a "kota" - an authentic Lappish tepee - where we have lunch and rest before returning to our accommodation. The length of the tour depends on your personal fitness level and of course the weather conditions and daylight. After dinner it is time to pack up, because tomorrow morning we will start our exciting wilderness adventure. We will pack only our small daypack with the most important things for the next two days. The rest of our luggage will already be transported to our next accommodation, the 7 Fells Hostel.

Your highlights today: Explore Pallas-Ylläs National Park, warm up in a Finnish sauna and watch the Northern Lights
After a fortifying breakfast prepared together, we will make our way to the border of Pallas-Ylläs National Park. From here we will start our way on snowshoes to today's accommodation. Part of the way will be in the dark, so we should remember to bring our headlamps. At the hut we will warm up at the open fire and have lunch. Before we explore the area again, we will all pitch in and prepare the hut for our stay. This includes chopping wood, preparing food, washing up, etc. Teamwork is the order of the day for the next two days!
Although the cabin has neither running water nor electricity, there is a traditional wooden sauna, which we will heat up together in the evening. With a little luck, we can catch a glimpse of the majestic Northern Lights today and end the evening cozy in our warm sleeping bags.

Your highlight today: Explore the National Park on forest skis
After an unforgettable night, the next adventure is already waiting for us today. Equipped with forest skis we go on an impressive day tour through the surrounding landscape. Also today we will have lunch in a kota along the route. You can take magical landscape pictures, observe wild animals if you are lucky, warm up by the fire or just enjoy the endless silence of Lapland. Maybe you and your new friends will have a little race in the deep fresh snow? The possibilities are endless, but one thing is clear: this is how digital detox is fun!

Your highlight today: Catch your own lunch ice fishing
Today we will try our hand at ice fishing! On a frozen lake, with the help of special tools, we will drill a hole in the thick layer of ice and try our luck - patience is needed here, but maybe we will catch a tasty fish that we can share right at lunch back at the cabin. Of course, ice fishing is only possible for us if we can make sure that the ice layer on the lake is thick enough and we can walk on it without putting ourselves in danger. After this refreshment we will make our way back out of the national park on snowshoes. We will be driven by shuttle to Äkäslompolo to our next and also already last accommodation, where we can make ourselves comfortable for the remaining days.

Your highlight today: Visit reindeer on a farm
Today we are going to a local reindeer farm! Here you have the opportunity to get to know the fascinating animals and learn more about the way of life of the reindeer and their breeders. Come closer and enjoy the unique sight of the animals.
We will have our own lunch at the reindeer farm.
On our return to the accommodation, you have the option of visiting a Finnish sauna and then taking a refreshing ice bath. Further details will be communicated in our WhatsApp group after your booking. Afterwards, we will prepare a delicious dinner together and recover from today's activities, as there is plenty to experience again tomorrow.

Your highlights today: Ride a dog sled and get to know Kellokas Nature Center
Get ready to check off a long-awaited wish on your bucket list - today you're going to a husky farm! After an insight into life on the farm and a short briefing, you will be equipped with your own dog team and a sled and off you go on a discovery tour through the snowy landscape! There will be two of you on one sled. One as "driver" and one as passenger, after half of the distance and a short break to eat our self brought lunch, you can change places.
After this experience we continue to the Kellokas Nature and Culture Center, which offers us exciting insights into the dependence of man on nature. After an instructive day we return to our accommodation and review the experiences of the last days, because tomorrow it is already time to say goodbye.

Today we will prepare our breakfast together for the last time and share stories and memories of the past week, because today our Lapland adventure is unfortunately already coming to an end. Afterwards you will have a few last moments to pack or internalize the incredible beauty of nature before we will transport you to the airport or, if you still have a little time, to the town of Levi for some shopping.

This relaxed hotel is set in wooded grounds next to Lake Vuontis in a remote rural area surrounded by hiking and skiing trails. It's 14 km from the mountainous Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. You'll have a great view of the mountains from your room.

In this wilderness hut you have the opportunity to completely switch off and not be disturbed by the outside world. Here it's pure digital detox for two days. No electricity, little to no internet connection. There is no running water. Snow is melted for brushing teeth, washing after sauna, cooking, etc. A real wilderness adventure.
Important note: According to the restrictions of the Metsähallitus office, group tours can only use one of the two cabins at a time. This means we have the chance to have a really cool adventure! (Like Lizzy :) ) If there are more than 12 of us, we can spend one night in the hut as normal. A few of us then get to spend the night outside and camp snuggled up in tents next to the hut - totally exciting! The next day we swap over.

What is the minimum number of participants for the trip?
This trip has a minimum number of 8 guests. If this number is not reached 30 days before the scheduled date, TripLegend has the right to cancel the trip.
Can I arrive earlier or leave later?
You can individually plan a few days in advance or add a few days to all our trips, as it suits you best. Of course, we are also happy to give you tips for accommodation!
With whom do I share a double room?
As a standard, you will share a double room with a person of the same sex traveling with you.
What does your collaboration with local partners look like in concrete terms?
For us, supporting locals means working only with local guides, staying in local, family-run hotels, and eating at local restaurants. We often have a social/environmental cause that we incorporate into our trips (from volunteering at a wildlife rescue center in Namibia to the support of Buddhist monks in Nepal in their daily work or visiting a school in a Soviet ghost town in Kyrgyzstan and bringing soccer balls, books, pens, etc.).
