Itinerary

You have the option to book your flights separately or contact us quickly and easily via Whats App for a personal flight quote. Instead of arriving at Podgorica airport, you can also fly to Tivat airport and pick up the car there.

Your highlight today: City tour in Podgorica

After your arrival, you will be given your rental car at the airport, with which you can then drive to your hotel. For the rest of the day, we recommend you to discover the city of Podgorica! There are two options: Either you organize the city tour yourself and discover the historical places on your own, or you let a local guide (75€) accompany you through the city to learn as much as possible about the history of the city. The request of a guide must be communicated to us before the start of the trip.

If you decide to do the city tour without a guide, we recommend visiting the following sights: Ottoman Old Town with its mosques, old buildings and clock tower, Ribnica Old Town, Adzi Pasha Bridge, Monument to King Nikola, Parliament of Montenegro, Monument to Josip Bros Tito, Gazela Bridge over the Moraca River, Park of Petar II Petrovic Njegos, National Theater, City Hall, Independence Square, Church of St. Djordje and Gorica Hill Park Forest. Djordje and the Gorica hill park forest.

Boskovich Hotel

Your highlight today: Picturesque panoramas of Montenegro

Today you will discover several places. In the morning you will drive to Cetinje (approx. 30 min.). Walking through the historical parts of Cetinje, you will find the most important monuments, beautiful parks, charming promenades and the ruins of the old monastery. You will also visit Biljarda Castle, the monument dedicated to Ivan Crnojevic and the palace of King Nicholas. You can either do the tour on your own or be accompanied by a guide (75€). The request for a guide must be communicated to us before the start of the tour.

After that you will continue to Lovcen National Park (3€ p.p.). Here you can enjoy walks on the side of Ivan Hill in the greenest area of the park. Then continue to the Mausoleum (approx. 15 min.) on Lovcen Mountain (8€ p.p.) to be rewarded with a 360° view of the enchanting landscape!

Continue to the village of Njegusi (about 20 min.), where you can admire the most famous panorama in Montenegro - the view of the Bay of Kotor. In Njegusi you will find traditional and authentic products and specialties of the region. We recommend you to visit the 140 years old Taverna Kod Pera na Bukovicu. There is also the possibility to be accompanied by a guide for the whole day (city tour, national park & Njegusi). Please let us know before the start of the trip if this is your wish (130€ p.p.).

On the way back to Podgorica (approx. 50 min.) we recommend lunch at a beekeeper's farm in the small village of Bajice to discover the rich cuisine of the region (must be reserved before the start of the trip).

Breakfast

Your highlight today: River Tara in the deepest canyon in Europe

After breakfast you will drive towards Biogradska Gora. There are two ways to get there. The fast option is via the highway, which saves you 45 minutes of driving. The more beautiful panoramic road, however, leads through the gorge of the Moraca River (2 hours).

Biogradska Gora (4€ p.p.) is one of the three remaining primeval forests in Europe and is crowned with the beautiful Lake Biogradsko. A 1-hour hike around the lake is a highlight of northern Montenegro. You will discover amazing vegetation, and lush green old trees, some of which are more than 400 years old.

From Biogradska Gore you will continue towards Djurdjevica Tara Bridge (about 1 hour) and you can admire the canyon of the Tara River. This canyon is the deepest canyon in Europe. A highlight of the canyon is "Crne Pode", the forest with endemic black pine species. Stop at the monumental Djurdjevica Tara Bridge and explore the area around it. The area, including the Tara River and Durmitor National Park, is part of the UNECSO World Heritage Site. Optionally, you can glide across the river on the Zip Line, with the deepest river gorge in Europe (payment on site).

After the many events, you will continue to your next accommodation in Zabljak (about 30 min.).

Durmitor Bungalows

Your highlight today: Hiking in the highest mountains of Montenegro

For today there are several options that you can do in combination to explore the beautiful Durmitor region:

Option 1 is the white water rafting (80€ p.p.) in the river Tara, the deepest river canyon in Europe. The tour includes all necessary waterproof and safety equipment as well as a traditional lunch after the rafting. Please inform us before the beginning of the trip if you want to participate in the rafting tour. It can take place in the period from 15.06. - 15.09.

Option 2 is a hiking tour with an experienced guide. You can choose between easy, medium (110€) and intensive hiking tours (150€). The Durmitor Mountains offer a breathtaking landscape with more than 2000 peaks over 2000m and 18 glacial lakes. Please inform us before the start of the trip if you would like to be accompanied by the guide.

Option 3 (without guide) is a walk around the Black Lake (5€ p.p.). Surrounded by dense pine forests and the "Bear" peak, the lake is one of the most popular natural attractions in the country (approx. 1.5 - 2 hrs.).

Option 4 (without guide) will take you to the cable car (9€ p.p.) over Savin Kuk, one of the highest peaks of Durmitor Mountain. During the ride you will be amazed by the great views. On the last stretch you will have to climb a bit to get to one of the two viewpoints. Both are easy to find and offer a fantastic view. The whole activity takes about 1.5 h. The cable car is open until 3 pm.

Option 5 (without guide) is to drive the Durmitor Circuit, a spectacular panoramic route that will take you to 2300m high peaks. Make a few stops to take photos and enjoy the highest peaks of Durmitor. The drive takes about 3.5 hrs with occasional breaks.

Option 6 (without guide) is to visit 2 beautiful glacial lakes: Lake Vrazje and Lake Riblje. We recommend waiting for the sunset on the hill above the Vrazje lake. The lakes are located about 20 min. from Zabljak.

Due to the fact that the options in the Durmitor region are so varied and sometimes time-consuming, you can only combine some of the options: Option 1, 2 and 4 can be combined with option 3 and 6. Option 5 you can also combine with 3 and 6 and additionally 4. Option 3 and 6 can be combined with any other option.

Please let us know your decision in advance so we can arrange everything for you.

Durmitor Bungalows

Your highlight today: The alleys of the old towns rich in history

Today's destination will take you through a rural village where you can meet a local family and experience typical Montenegrin hospitality. During the visit you can see the inside of the old house, visit the orchard, beehives, visit the wine cellar and taste different local drinks like rakia, wine and juices and delicious meals (35€ p.p.). Please let us know before the start of the trip if you would like to visit the family.

After that, there are 2 options again:
Option 1 is a guided tour of the Bay of Kotor. The guide will first take you on a short tour of Perast and then take you to the islands and tell you the best stories about the maritime heritage and sailors while showing you the sights of the unique old town of Kotor. If you want to do only the Kotor tour the price is 75€, the full tour is 130€.

Option 2 is to guide yourself through the surroundings. On the way to Perast there are some beautiful viewpoints. You will drive through the village of Grahovo and later have a great view of the Bay of Kotor. After arriving in Perast you can take a short walk through the settlement and then take a boat (5€ p.p.) to the "Lady of the Rocks" on the nearby island. After that you will continue to Kotor, where you will have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets of the old town and enjoy the old squares, palaces and churches of this ancient city or go to the museum (2€ p.p.). From the square behind the main gate, the Square of Arms, follow the path to get to the Catholic Church of Saint Tryphon. Also feel free to visit the Maritime Museum, Saint Luka Square, Cat Square or go to the Fortress for a breathtaking view of the city.

Afterwards you continue to Tivat & Porto Montenegro (20 min.). At the port you will find many restaurants, stores and bars, as well as a promenade overlooking the beautiful bay of Tivat. At the end of the day you will drive to your next accommodation in Budva.

Your highlight today: Discover the beautiful Boka Bay by boat

Today we recommend you to discover the bay of Boka on a speedboat tour. In Kotor you will board the boat and enjoy the bay from different angles on a short (1:20h, 145€) or a long tour (3h, 260€).

Another way to spend your day is a traditional cooking class. You will visit a traditional Montenegrin house and prepare the food together according to local recipes (3 persons: 175€, 4 persons: 220€).

Alternatively, you can explore Budva and the port of the old town on foot. Walk within the old city walls through the narrow, winding streets and discover the unusual entrances and viewpoints, as well as charming monuments and the most beautiful squares. Don't miss the viewpoint at the Ballerina Monument towards Mogren Beach! If you go through the Land Gate, you will see the Poets' Square and the entrances that will lead you directly to the sea. Continue to the largest square in the city, famous for its side-by-side churches. Pass the citadel of Budva and walk along the sunny harbor.

Optionally, you can also go to the viewpoint on the island of St. Stephen, which is connected to the mainland. However, the island cannot be entered, as it is the private property of a hotel. Then drive towards the old town of Bar (about 40 min.). The old town of Bar was once dominated by many different civilizations and is now home to stories and legends that only the old walls can tell. Afterwards you will have the chance to see the oldest olive tree in Europe! You can be accompanied by a guide for both the Budva city tour and the boat tour - please let us know before you start your trip.

After you have enjoyed the surroundings sufficiently, you will drive back to your hotel in Budva (about 1 hour).

Breakfast

Hotel Bracera

Your highlight today: Kayak trip across Skadar lake

Today we recommend you to visit Skadar Lake National Park (5€ p.p.), which is rich in wildlife and one of the highlights of Montenegro. A boat or kayak trip is a great way to explore the lake and enjoy the nature. You have the following options:

Option 1 would be to have a guide accompany you during the day. He will guide you through Virpazar and take you on a boat trip. You can choose a shorter option (3h, 100€) or a longer option (6h, 130€) depending on how much you want the guide to show you. The boat trip takes about 2 hours and costs 80€. Alternatively you can rent a kayak for any hours (40€/h). Please let us know before the start of your trip if you would like to be accompanied by a guide or if you would like to do the boat tour or the kayak tour.

Option 2 would be to guide yourselves through the day. Drive to Virpazar and explore the village on your own. There are many sights in the area of Virpazar, such as the old Ottoman fortress Besac, which offers a nice view and houses a nice restaurant. The old village of Godinje from the 13th century is also very interesting. If you wish, we can also organize a wine tasting in one of the local family wineries. Then take a panoramic drive through the villages around the lake, which offers many beautiful viewpoints. We recommend stopping in Macalov Brijeg for a beautiful view and a delicious pomegranate juice. Another stop should be made in Rijeka Crnojevic, an old fishery with great historical significance. Here you can taste the carp from the lake! Afterwards, don't miss the Pavlova Strana viewpoint. Finally, before going back to your accommodation, we recommend you to visit one of the small family wineries by the lake and taste the local wine!
