Most beautiful places sunsets Bali

Tanah Lot Temple

As one of the most important temple complexes in Bali, Tanah Lot Temple is undoubtedly one of the most popular places to watch the sunset. The complex was built on a rock on the coast at the foot of which break large waves. In the evening, when the sun merges with the horizon, the silhouette of the characteristic stepped roofs looks particularly impressive.

At this time of day, countless bats fly out of their caves and put on a show like you've probably never seen before! An absolutely unique natural phenomenon!

Since the temple is a very popular tourist attraction and is also only 10 km west of the town of Canggu, there are usually many people here. I think the stunning sunsets there are still worth seeing, even if you have to share the view with many other spectators. There are also a few restaurants on site where you can enjoy one of the sunset dishes. delicious indonesian food or you can order a cool drink.

Tegal Wangi Beach

Tegal Wangi Beach, is often considered one of Bali's "hidden beaches" and offers more tranquility in contrast to many other sunset spots.

Both options leave the Width* of the Indian Ocean have a calming effect on you and are ideal to end the day in peace and enjoy the evening spectacle. The towering cliffs glow in the evening red and complement the view of the rolling waves, which shimmer in all shades.

Uluwatu Temple

Among the six most important temples of Bali is also the Uluwatu Temple. Similar to the Tanah Lot temple you can expect here to the Sunset* a beautiful silhouette of the temple, against the background of the sky and the sea. The complex is located on cliffs 70 meters above sea level with several places around the temple. This includes the amphitheater, where Kecak fire dances are performed in the light of the setting sun. Here you will not only meet some more adventurers but also gray long-tailed macaques, which flaunt themselves on the high walls. Uluwatu Temple therefore offers you a cultural all-round package that definitely belongs on your bucket list.

Nusa Lembongan

Should you leave the Balinese mainland on your trip and find yourself on Nusa Lembongan then a very special view for the sunset awaits you. The main beach of this island - Jungut Batu - has not only beautiful white sandy beach, which is surrounded by turquoise water, but also an incredible view. You can see on the horizon the silhouette of Bali's active Volcano*, Mount Agung, behind which the sun is slowly descending.

Alternatively, you can climb up to the hilly area of the upscale villa neighborhood and expand your view a bit.

Lahangan Sweet Viewpoint

One of the most impressive viewpoints in Bali is the Lahangan Sweet Viewpoint in Amed. Situated in Amed you have the best view of Mt. Agung. Unlike from Nusa Lembongan, where you see the silhouette of the volcano from a distance, from here it seems very close. The special thing about this viewpoint is that you can watch both a gorgeous sunrise and sunset. While at sunrise the volcano shines in the sunlight, in the evening the sun disappears behind the volcano and conjures up a true play of colors in the sky.

At Lahangan Sweet there are many viewpoints, including several bamboo and wooden platforms, which give you a breathtaking view of Mount Agung, but also on the side facing the sea.

This place conjures up an absolutely picturesque backdrop, which looks particularly unique at the time of sunset.

Balangan Beach

Arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali, Balangan Beach in the south of the island is also one of the best places for sunsets. With the orientation to the west, the beach meets the most important criterion to enjoy sunsets in their full glory. There, from two places, you can watch the evening natural spectacle. These include the Balangan viewpoint on the cliffs and the beach itself.

Due to the beautiful view, there are usually many spectators of the sunset here, yet there is enough space on the cliffs for everyone to enjoy the view. If you decide to watch the sunset from the cliffs, you can choose to go to the small, popular rocky outcrop, from which you can overlook the beach and the turquoise water. Alternatively, you can go to the large circular platform a little further away, which is covered with lush vines.

No matter for which place you finally decide: Here you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in Bali.
