2. Crime

The crime rate in Uganda is currently slightly higher. Especially in the regions around Kampala and in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you should never travel on your own. If you are accompanied by someone who knows the area, you don't need to worry as they often know exactly which areas are safe and which to avoid.

Robberies can occur from time to time, especially in the capital Kampala. Therefore, avoid walking alone after dark. Be careful when you are on foot and try not to carry your valuables with you. It is best to keep your valuables such as your passport or jewelry safe in your hotel anyway.

3. Climate

Uganda is located in a seismically active zone, which is why earthquakes and volcanic activity can occur. With the Virunga volcanoes in the East African Rift Valley, there are eight volcanoes in the border area between Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Uganda's highlands have a tropical climate. During the rainy seasons, usually from March to May and from September to November, there are regular floods and landslides, resulting in considerable traffic disruption.

4. Health
