What awaits you

Dear Explorers, Last September 2023 was my first trip to Africa and of course I chose TripLegend to guide me. I visited Namibia on a 15 day adventure, it was also my first time doing safari and it completely blew me away. Astonished, humbled, emotional - just a few words to describe my feelings at the time. The fact that we share the earth with such incredible creatures is so overlooked in everyday life, it is only when you get so close, so immersed in their home and their environment do you realize just how incredible the world we live in is. Safari wasn't the only thing that blew my mind in Namibia, so many things about this spectacular country make me hungry for exploring more of Africa - the culture, the people, the landscape, so vastly different to anything I had ever seen or experienced before. On my flight home I had a 6 hour stopover in Cape Town, and I almost went to take a look around the city, but decided instead that I would come home and plan a proper trip to South Africa, because clearly 6 hours would not do this beautiful country justice. To solidify my plans, I was sat next to a South African man on the plane, who I spoke to for a few hours of my flight. He told me all sorts of amazing stories about South Africa, the places I should go and the things I should do, and it really ignited a fire in me. I knew I wanted to visit this country and to see these things for myself, to have my own stories to tell from my time there. So I present to you...a magnificent group trip to South Africa. Curated by TripLegend, with an absolutely stand out itinerary, one which I have shared and has been deemed 'perfect' and 'very special' by multiple South Africans who have contacted me regarding this trip. I am very excited to go on this once in a lifetime adventure with you, Sending you love and courage, Lizzy x

Your highlight today: Taste South Africa's best wine varieties

South Africa's Western Cape is home to more than 500 wineries. Today we say cheers and will visit our three favorites. However, the wine region offers more than just wine - there are also beautiful landscapes and interesting history to enjoy along the way. The wine estates are located in the Stellenbosch area, one of the oldest towns in South Africa. Stellenbosch is known for its Cape Dutch style architecture and its importance to wine growing. The farms on this tour have been carefully selected to offer a diverse range of historic estates and smaller family-run wineries.

For the more adventurous among us, there is plenty of time to test our courage and jump into the depths. Watching the leashed bungee jumpers daringly hurl themselves off the bridge is an experience in itself. We spend lunch in Tsitsikamma National Park with its unique combination of indigenous forests and the beautiful Indian Ocean coastline. After we have had enough time to explore the park, we leave the Garden Route and drive to the land of the Big Five, Addo.
