Your highlight today: Explore the temples of the Kathmandu Valley
Today we will explore Patan, the second largest city in the Kathmandu Valley. Here we can dive deep into the culture and history of Nepal and this particular city. The Durbar Square lets us dive into the times of long gone kingdoms, the Buddhist shrines, temples and stupas allow a feeling for the religious ways of the Nepalese. After refreshments, we will continue in the afternoon to one of the largest stupas in the world, the Boudhanat Stupa. We can walk around it and learn about the good fortune that the stupas are supposed to bring to their visitors. At the end of the day we visit the Swayambhunath Stupa, which offers a perfect view over the sunset due to its high position.

Your highlights today: Explore Bhaktapur and visit a local elementary school
Day three of our Nepal tour begins with a hearty breakfast, after which we head to an ancient city that was hit by an earthquake in 1934 - Bhaktapur. It is all the more impressive to see how the many ancient buildings, including a five-story temple, survived the earthquake. The windows and decorations of the temples are masterpieces of craftsmanship, where we can get artistic inspiration for the next program item. Next we will visit a traditional painting school and an elementary school in a remote village.

Your highlight today: Experience a white water adventure rafting
Today we will drive to Pokhara, also called the "Switzerland of Nepal". The second largest city in the country is located directly on the deep blue mountain lake, surrounded by quite a few snow-capped peaks. Here we want to embark on a particularly adrenaline-packed adventure in nature, as there is a perfect river for white water rafting. Towards Pokhara we raft here for about two hours. We will have an experienced rafting guide with us in our boat - the section we have chosen is considered to be absolutely safe and fun at the same time. Nevertheless, if someone would rather not participate, there is the possibility to relax in the time at a beautiful river spot and listen to the steady murmur of the water masses.

Watch as the sun transforms the ice-covered peaks of the Himalayas into a mountain of pure gold, before we fortify ourselves once again with a hearty breakfast for the upcoming trek towards Tadapani. Our hike today includes a total of over 2500 meters in altitude - a number we can really be proud of in the evening. With breaks and great views, however, we also manage this hike together.

At a joint dinner we let the evening end comfortably and fall tired into our beds after 4 exciting and exhausting days of hiking, because in our legs we can feel what we have done the last days.

Our guide is always there for you and together you can enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

What does your collaboration with local partners look like in concrete terms?
For us, supporting locals means working only with local guides, staying in local, family-run hotels, and eating at local restaurants. We often have a social/environmental cause that we incorporate into our trips (from volunteering at a wildlife rescue center in Namibia to the support of Buddhist monks in Nepal in their daily work or visiting a school in a Soviet ghost town in Kyrgyzstan and bringing soccer balls, books, pens, etc.).
