For this trip, the arrival process is slightly different as the arrival day is not included in the itinerary. You will need to arrive one day in advance and arrange your own accommodation. Once the WhatsApp group is created, we can book together if we want. This way we can stay together and save costs!
Your highlight today: Get into your kayak for the first time and marvel at nature!
We meet in the morning at Bergen's central bus station, a vibrant hub that is conveniently connected to buses, trains, streetcars and cabs. So very easy for me to get to! There you will meet Ali, your fellow travelers and our experienced guide, who will accompany us with his knowledge on this trip.
During our drive to our expedition area, we will make a short stop to refresh ourselves and visit a picturesque waterfall. The beauty of nature will already captivate us here and increase the anticipation of the coming adventure.
Finally, we reach our starting point - a quiet, local pier with direct access to the majestic fjord and a charming fish farm nearby. Before we launch our kayaks, we receive a short briefing from our guide to ensure safety and fun for all participants. Then we set off and glide gently over the clear waters of the fjord.
During our kayak tour we can admire the impressive cliffs and the small farms up close. It is fascinating to know that this area is historically protected and thus has helped to preserve the authentic Norwegian lifestyle of the local population.
On the way we make another stop in a bay to admire a traditional old hut surrounded by majestic high waterfalls. From here we have a breathtaking view of the end of the fjord, which only amazes us even more.
Our kayaking journey finally takes us to a remote valley where there is a tiny village with only two inhabitants. Here we set up our base camp for the coming days and enjoy a delicious dinner. The sight of the fjord with the majestic glacier in the background will leave us speechless and give us the feeling of being part of a living natural scenery.
We look forward to an unforgettable time filled with adventure, breathtaking views and experiencing the authentic Norwegian lifestyle. Already we can fall asleep with magical memories that will last a lifetime!

Your highlight today: Hike through the untouched nature
After breakfast we will meet for a brief meeting to plan the second day of our exciting group tour. Today's agenda includes a captivating hike and exploration of the valley, which our guide will enrich with fascinating stories about the history and nature of the region.
Together we will cross rivers, roam through dense forests and discover ruins and abandoned old huts on our way to the plateau. Each step will be accompanied by the fascinating history of the area, which our guide will share with us. The beauty of nature around us will leave us amazed again and again.
Once on the plateau, a picturesque view of the untouched nature awaits us, which will invigorate our spirits and refresh our senses. Here we will have a relaxing lunch break and enjoy the tranquility of this idyllic setting.
After we have strengthened ourselves, we start the descent back to the valley, where our base camp is waiting for us. Here we will enjoy a delicious dinner in the evening and tell each other about the experiences of the day. The shared memories will weld us even closer together and fill us with anticipation for further adventures.

Your highlight today: Visit a Norwegian family on their farm!
After a hearty breakfast, we begin our last day on this unforgettable trip. We pack up our base camp and get a quick briefing to plan the day. Then we head out and paddle back through the lonely fjord, while the majestic glacier and narrow fjord panorama stretches out before us. This moment of rest gives us the opportunity to reflect together on the past days and admire the waterfalls one last time, perhaps for a quick souvenir photo.
Once at the dock, we unload the kayaks and pack our gear. After a quick debrief, we head to a local farm for a coffee break. Here we can relax and spend even more time with the locals and our fellow travelers. We share experiences and impressions from our adventures and listen to the captivating stories of the local people. The guide is a personal friend of the family and the farm lord will even play an original local hardingfela for you, at a small concert in the historic dining room. A fantastic ending!
The last section of this picturesque route takes us back to Bergen city center to the central bus station. There we will say goodbye to Ali & the group. We will take home many unforgettable memories, valuable experiences and new friendships.

Departure is also different compared to the other trips. You have the option of either leaving late in the evening on the last day or staying a day longer. Even then you will have to take care of your accommodation, but we can book together again via the WhatsApp group.
If you would like to leave on the last evening, please let us know your flight times so that we can ensure that you reach your flight on time.

This beautiful place is where your base camp is located.
Basecamp is a tent, which is designed for 10 people. Nearby is an old village school. There is a separate building with modernized sanitary facilities. There you can use the toilets and also showers.
Do I need experience with the kayak?
No, after a little practice, everyone can do it. But if someone feels very uncomfortable, you can also choose a 2-person kayak. However, a 1 is recommended.
What kind of kayaks will we be provided with?
You get 1er glass fever kayaks, which are produced in Norway.
Is our guide also a Kayak professional?
All guides are also level 1 instructors, which is higher than usual. So you are in the best hands.
What happens when the weather does not allow kayaking?
That really happens extremely rarely. But in this case, safety comes first, of course. But here too, our local partners are absolute experts and always have a great replacement program, which we can then offer you. Depending on the case, this varies of course. Should this be the case, you will of course be informed immediately and the replacement program will be discussed with you.

What is the minimum number of participants for the trip?
This trip has a minimum number of 6 guests. If this number is not reached 30 days before the scheduled date, TripLegend has the right to cancel the trip.
Can I arrive earlier or leave later?
You can individually plan a few days in advance or add a few days to all our trips, as it suits you best. Of course, we are also happy to give you tips for accommodation!
With whom do I share a double room?
By default, you will share a double room with a person of the same sex, but you are also welcome to book a single room.
What does your collaboration with local partners look like in concrete terms?
For us, supporting locals means working only with local guides, staying in local, family-run hotels, and eating at local restaurants. We often have a social/environmental cause that we incorporate into our trips (from volunteering at a wildlife rescue center in Namibia to the support of Buddhist monks in Nepal in their daily work or visiting a school in a Soviet ghost town in Kyrgyzstan and bringing soccer balls, books, pens, etc.).
